Its a Strange New World
Good morrow everyone, in particular dad, for the first paragraph is for him. Yes, I am going to correct you on a few things that you made on your blog. First off, I am in the program called Museum Studies, not museum management-thats only in Sir Standford Flemming. Secondly, I do not share a bedroom with my roomate. The dorm consists of two seperate bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchenette.
Well, I survived the first day of school, now I only have to survive my first week of it, which I only have 3 days of week left to survive. On the first day, I was absolutely terrified to enter in the school. Its so big and I felt so small. But I read some Shakespeare before I left, so I was able to calm down for about three minutes. Once I entered into the college, thats when I was terrified once again. Thankfully I had one class and it only took me approxiametly four minutes to find my class! It was shop practice and I already know I will not like it, due to the fact we have to use these ubber power tools. Today was better because my two classes were actually interesting. I had history of technology and introduction to museum work. Also, these two classes were in the same room and in the same hall as my first day class. Thats all. Fare thee well.

I just posted it because I have finally memorized the entire speech. That means I have now memorized two of Shakespeare's soliquies. Also, on the morrow I officially leave Essex to move to Ottawa, my home for the next three years. I am tres tres nervous about moving and feel as though my summer has been cut way too short, for I start school the following Monday! Hopefully I can find my one class that I have on that day and I hope my roomate and I atleast get along. Better start packing. Fare thee well.
Goodbye Edmonton:( Good Morrow Essex
My summer in Edmonton is now finished and I am back at home in Essex. I must say, I truly did have a great time in that city, so much that I did not want to leave. The air was mostly clean, the people actually stop when you cross the road, hiking trails right inside the city, museums, galleries,festivals, malls, good looking guys.....it was wonderful. Also, the perseids meteor shower happened while I was there, so Steph and I sat in her backyard and watched it. We saw 14, well I only saw 13 and the first one was very bright and simply beautiful. I will even miss my former employees, for they were awsome people to work with. Bonus, I made over 1,000!in which I accidently spent around 150 of that on books. I will definately try to move back there after my degree to work in the Edmonton Art Gallery. Stephanie, Mom, Dad and Katrina: My plane did not crash or explode, but they did confiscate my hand lotion because I might be hiding explosives in there. The plane travelling from Toronto to Windsor was delayed half an hour, so I did not arrive until close to 12:00am. Overall, the trip was fine. I miss you and hope to see you soon. Have fun in Edmonton and Katrina, good luck convincing Steph to get a tattoo. Mom-thanks for the gifts! The lamb is so adorable and the jewerly is beautiful. Dad-hope you like your present.Nothing has changed in Essex,except for there are two new houses built. Theo is still weird and last night he dragged two of my shirts. Sadly, I woke up at 5:50 this morning thinking I had to go to work. Silly me. Fare thee well.
Thus Ends BuffyFest 2006
Well, now it is time to say another fare well to Buffy The Vampire Salyer , for the fest has officially ended. Stephanie and I actually achieved our goal of watching all 62 favourite episodes of Buffy. We started the first episode on July 10th and finished the last episode today on Augast 11th. How I Despise Soccer.
Over the past week, Stephanie has been dragging me to multiple soccer games. I do admit, I did have fun, especially remembering on how much I sucketh at soccer. But so does Steph, so it is all good. I actually scored a goal too! We played for about two hours. The first game we played until 9:00pm, then went to Micheals for tea and hot chocolate, for it was quite chilly. Then on the third game, we played until 10:00pm. Afterwards, we went to Carols for some delicious fruit. However, after yesterdays game, I loathe the game even more. Too much physical activity can cause some serious pain on ones body. I pulled a hamstring, or whatever the muscle is behind your thigh and have a variety of bruises!Also, I have been eating more since I am getting excersise.
Anyhoo, enough of soccer, now onto lovely work. It was absolutely horrid today. Then again, the second last shift is always the worst for some reason. Atleast I got paid 638.00! I am sad though to leave the workplace because I do enjoy working with the people, except for today, on whom I will not mention. Fare thee well.
Tim Burton Presents: A Musical!
After his success with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and critically acclaimed Corpse Bride, Tim Burton is back in the studio with his new project entitled Sweeny Todd. This is originally a stage musical, about a demon barber, and he may keep it as a musical. I think thats awsome that he decided to finally film a live musical, instead of stop-motion, either though they are amazing to watch. Also Johnny Depp is rumoured to star in it! This movie shall be interesting....... Well that is all for now. Fare thee well.
July has gone and now a new month has arose:In Edmonton, Alberta
It has been a month already since I have arrived in Edmonton and time surely has flown. The first week did take some time getting adjusted to the new setting, but now I will officially call Edmonton my summer home. Lets see, on the first day I met two of Stephanies friends, Jason and Karlene Guy. We went over to there house for dinner, plus they were the ones who picked me up at that dreaded airport. Then, of course, I left my wallet at the airport, so on the second day I was able to meet Ian, Glendas second husband, for he was the one that drove us to the airport to retrieve my wallet. Thus entering the world of the workforce. In my opinion, the interview was awful. I was terribly nervous, even though I knew I had the job, and I spoke way too fast, said the stupidest answers and overdramatised on the talking with my hands. However, luckily the managers knew I was nervous so they did not think I was some idiote. At first, I hated working at Tim Hortons, for I thought I was done with the food jobs. It was busy, I made many mistakes, I was afraid of the managers and thought everyone disliked me. But now I enjoy working at Tim Hortons, for the people are absolutely awsome to work with, including the managers. Sadly, we are extremely short staffed, so I had to be left alone up front after only two days of working. Anyhoo, enough work talk, back to Edmonton. On the following Saturday, Steph and I went to Ian and Glendas house were I was able to meet more of her friends. It was fun. Then we made a Buffy marathon, so with work and Buffy, we did not do to much the following week. Although, I was able to go see the University of Alberta, which was tres tres cool because in the Arts department there was this statue of the head of a famous nobel literature prize poet and the university was very beautiful.
On July 18 was an exciting event, for that was when Steph finally took me to the RiverCity Shakespeare Festival. We went to see the play The Taming of the Shrew, which in my opinion is one of his best comedies. At first I was nervous about the play being in western theme, but it actually worked and the actors portrayed the characters very well, especially Pertruchio. After that, I decided to venture off on my own and go to the art gallery. Now, I really should have read the name on the bus, instead of just reading the number, for I ended up going on the wrong number eight. Thus, it took me almost two hours to get to the art gallery. However, a nice edmonton dude noticed that I was lost and walked me to the gallery, even though he was late for work. Silly me, did not get his name or number, but he did say if not for work he would gladly join me at the gallery. Woohoo I am moving up in the social world. And yes, the gallery was worth it and now it is one of the options of museums to work at after my degree.
Then comes the summer movies. On July 19th I saw Pirates of the Carribean 2 Dead Mans Chest. I enjoyed the movie and thought it was hilarious, but it lacked in the freshness the first movie gave us. Johnny Depp is still the best looking pirate of the carribean. The next tuesday, July 25, I saw The Lady in The Water. I despise this film and inform everyone not to see this film, especially if you have high expectations. Now, I did like the story of the movie, for it was very interesting and quite unique. The problem arose in the cinematography and the acting. The directing was awful, which is strange because M. Night Shamalyn is a good director, the lines came too fast and the acting was at its worst for everyone.
Well, I think that is all I have to say thus far of my trip to Edmonton. I am having so much fun and do not want to leave this province! Fare thee well.
