Artist Block Has Perished

I started my second charcoal project at the beginning of October. I began with a normal pencil, later switching to 2H-6H sketching pencils to add the shading of the building. Once the shading was finally complete, which took approxiametly three weeks, I began the charcoal, which helped enhance the gothic affect. This section I found quite difficult because this is my second attempt at charcoal. I had few problems deciding whether I should use a 2B or a 4B on the light areas and when I used the wrong shade, it is impossible to erase. Then, I got into a artist block, which is very annoying especially since I was so close to completing the neo-gothic St.Micheals Basilica. The block lasted for two entire weeks. Then, on Monday after work, I opened my sketch book, turned on some Bach, and drew to my hearts content. I must say, I am quite proud of my gothic architect and now wondering what my next project shall be.

A Cruel Punishment

Life as a Timmy Hoe can be quite difficult, especially when one is full time. Over the past week, I have been forced to work on drive-thru. Now, in truth, I am not very good and in my opinion, I am dreadful at it. Instead of denying the fact, I decided to accept it and let the managers know that I know I am horrid at drive thru. My managers kept insisting that I was doing fine, even though they kept taking me off drive thru during the middle of the shift. After a week of complaining and denial, my manager decided to punish me today at work. The punishment was that I was forced to work on the drive thru all shift! This is only my second time and I had to talk to customers for eight hours through a head set, which gets very stressful and I got a huge headache. Also, I was supposed to be the third one to go on my break, but to even furthur the cruelness of my punishment, I was on break last. Therefore, tomorrow when I come into work, I will be a mute. Oh how I loathe thee Tim Hortons! Fare thee well.

Ghost Love Score

I have been in such a strange mood lately.....
Ghost Love Score by NightWish
- My fall will be for you -

My fall will be for you
My love will be in you
If you be the one to cut me
I`ll bleed forever

Scent of the sea before the waking of the world
Brings me to thee
Into the blue memory

- My fall will be for you -
My fall will be for you
My love will be in you
If you be the one to cut me
I will bleed forever

Into the blue memory

A siren from the deep came to me
Sang my name my longing
Still I write my songs about that dream of mine
Worth everything I may ever be

The Child will be born again
That siren carried him to me
First of them true loves
Singing on the shoulders of an angel
Without care for love n` loss

Bring me home or leave me be
My love in the dark heart of the night
I have lost the path before me
The one behind will lead me

Take me
Cure me
Kill me
Bring me home
Every way
Every day
Just another loop in the hangman`s noose

Take me, cure me, kill me, bring me home
Every way, every day
I keep on watching us sleep

Relive the old sin of Adam and Eve
Of you and me
Forgive the adoring beast

Redeem me into childhood
Show me myself without the shell
Like the advent of May
I`ll be there when you say
Time to never hold our love

- My fall will be for you -
My fall will be for you
My love will be in you
You were the one to cut me
So I`ll bleed forever

Lest We Forget

Today is a very special day for all of the Canadians past and present soldiers, for today is the day we look back and remember the hard work and dedication of the soldiers in the Canadian Military. Canada fought their best in both the first and second world war. In the First World War, Canada had four main victorious battles: Sommes, Paschendale, Ypres and of course, Vimy Ridge. In the Second World War, Canada officially became independent from Britain by declaring war on Germany on September 10, 1939, three days after Britain declared war. Canada has lost many brave soldiers and sadly, more soldiers are giving their life in Afghanastan. As Shakespeare wrote in King Henry the fifth:
" We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day. "
Therefore, today all must wear the poppy on this cold Remebrance day to remember the soldiers that gave their life on the battle fields of war. Fare thee well.
